Competition entry for a public square in Århus
Currently a car park, the site is located in the heart of Århus, a stone's throw from the main shopping street and the soon-to-be developed harbour.
This competition entry tries to create a haven in the middle of the city, a space where people can take a breath and leave the hussle and bussle of the city for 5 minutes.
The square becomes a grassed park, planted with scented plants and flowers selected and positioned to garantee all year round scents.
The scheme hopes to connect the harbour and the city using smell to attract the passers by.
