Small extension and refurbishment of a Grade II listed Old Rectory and Barn conversion for a private client.
The scheme establishes direct accesses and visual connections between the internal spaces of both buildings and the outdoor elements of the extensive landscaped garden, whilst trying to keep the original features of the Old Rectory house which is a listed Grade lI building. This was achieved by careful architectural treatment of detailing and use of materials which are sympathetic to the existing fabric.
My involvement in the project started shortly before Tender action for the Old Rectory Refurbishment and after works to the small extension started on site.
